Available. Police records are issued by the Police Commissioner only at the official request of the United States Consulate General, P.O. Box 325, Hamilton HM BX, Bermuda, or at the official request of another accredited foreign consul in Bermuda. The Consulate General automatically requests a police certificate in connection with clearance requests. To obtain a record check the following information must be submitted:
(1) full name, including previous names and addresses in Bermuda;
(2) present and previous nationalities;
(3) date and place of birth;
(4) date of arrival in Bermuda and date of departure; and
(5) occupation and places of employment in Bermuda.
NOTE : In Bermuda it is possible to have serious convictions legally removed from one's police record, therefore it is most important to ask an applicant to authorize release of any spent convictions. |
